jshon software package provides Command line tool to parse, read and create JSON, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install jshon
jshon is installed in your system.
Make ensure the jshon package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep jshon *
You will get with jshon package name, version, architecture and description in a table
